Safe Workplace Certified
Free LGBTQIA+ inclusion training and certification for your workplace: online, at your workplace or at the Center.
Safe Workplace Certified is a free training and certification for Coastal Bend employers who want LGBTQIA+ customers and employees to feel welcome and safe at work. It is run by Pride Corpus Christi, a program of The Mosaic Project of South Texas.
Three ways to take it
- Online: self-paced trainings your team completes on their own devices, about 15 to 20 minutes each, with text, optional video and audio narration, and a short quiz.
- At your workplace: a 90-minute Lunch & Learn led by our trainers, on site with your team.
- At The Mosaic Center: bring your team to 1010 S Staples St for a Lunch & Learn in our space.
What your team learns
- LGBTQIA+ foundations: the basics, the words and pronouns
- Inclusive customer service: greetings, names, families and handling conflict
- Trans-affirming workplace practices: restrooms, dress codes, HR systems and transitions
- Allyship at work: being an active bystander
Earn the certificate
When 80% of your active employees finish the trainings, your organization is Safe Workplace Certified for one year. You receive a printable certificate, a badge for your website with a verification link, and a public listing on Pride Corpus Christi’s website. Certification renews each year.
It is free to apply. The application asks for your organization, industry, number of employees and a contact.
