Free one-on-one therapy for LGBTQ+ adults, with Strengthening Wellness.
Take a step toward better mental well-being through affirming mental health care. The Mosaic Project of South Texas and Strengthening Wellness offer free individual therapy for LGBTQ+ adults in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend, made possible by a grant from the Gamma Mu Foundation.
Who is eligible
- LGBTQ+ community members, 18 and over, who could not afford therapy without hardship
- Residents of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend region
- People facing stigma in mental health care spaces who want support in an affirming professional space
What is offered
- Individual therapy with counselor interns, in person
- Individual therapy with LPC Associates, virtual or in person
- Sessions at the Strengthening Wellness offices in Corpus Christi
What therapy can cover
Gender and identity, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationships and dating, coming out, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, intergenerational cycles, burnout, and more. Two of the clinicians are trained in EMDR through the same grant.
