About Art Lab for Teens
Art Lab for Teens is a monthly creative workshop for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies ages 13 – 18 in the Coastal Bend. Each session is led by community advocates and local artists who provide representation and mentorship through hands-on projects like crocheting, zine-making, sewing, painting, and more.
The program is designed to nurture creative expression in a safe, affirming environment where every participant can explore their identity through art, guided by people who reflect their experiences.
Ages 13 – 18
Open to teens in the Coastal Bend region.
Once a Month
Held monthly with a different workshop focus each session.
LGBTQIA+ Youth & Allies
An inclusive space for queer youth and their supporters.
Creative Expression
Workshops in crocheting, zine-making, sewing, painting, and more often led by artists who provide representation.
Safe & Affirming
All volunteers are vetted and background checked. A safe space to network and socialize.
