On Saturday, October 10, the Pride Corpus Christi Parade and Block Party brought more than 5,700 people to the bayfront, according to data from the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District. The parade carried its rainbow flags down Shoreline Boulevard, and the block party filled Water’s Edge Park with music, vendors, community organizations and neighbors from across the Coastal Bend.

Pride Corpus Christi is a program of The Mosaic Project of South Texas, and the evening was a milestone for us: from the main stage, we announced The Mosaic Center, a new home for the Coastal Bend’s LGBTQIA+ community at 1010 S Staples St.
More for local performers
This year we paid more than $7,000 to local performers, up from $5,300 last year. The drag artists, dancers, musicians and DJs who carried the main stage are part of this community, and paying them well is part of how Pride gives back. Our promise is that, year over year, more of the support we receive stays in the Coastal Bend.

Thank you to our sponsors
None of this happens without the businesses and organizations who stand with us. Thank you to our title sponsor, Hicks Family Subaru, and to AEP Texas, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, Astound Broadband, the Coastal Bend Association of REALTORS, All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Hidden Door, Attention Promo, HRMG and Arcovix.
Thank you, too, to every volunteer, vendor, marcher and performer, and to everyone who came out to celebrate. We’ll see you on the bayfront next year.
